The university, located in the nation’s second largest metropolis, offers a Ph.D. program in economics taught in English. The program is organized around three areas of specialization: international economics, data analytics, and international political economy. MEXT allocates scholarships and international travel funding to Japan for three students admitted in Oct. 2024. The scholarship recipients receive priority in their university housing application.
