UNZA Japanese Short Course (August-October 2022) finishes
UNZA Japanese Short Course (August - October 2022) has finished after 10 weeks of hard but interesting and fruitful lessons.
Organised by University of Zambia in collaboration with Hokkaido University Africa Office in Lusaka, the Japanese Short Course was desgined to provide anyone interested in learning Japanese an opportunity to get to know the language and practice it with Japanese teachers. The August-October session provided three face-to-face classes and one online class at beginners' level, and the total of 79 students participated.
During the last 10 weeks, students learned how to introduce themselves, basic conversations and grammar, words and phrases, and how to read and write hiragana (Japanese alphabet). Most of the students who took the course are interested in continuing learning Japanese and they also showed interests in learning Japanese culture and studying in Japan in future.
Many students commented, "The classes were well organized, every lesson was always interesting as we continued", "Learning Japanese from a Japanese native speaker allowed me to broaden my understanding of Japanese language", "The class was so much fun! The teacher was kind, humble, considerate and patient! It was a refreshing experience!", "I would love for more lessons".
The next session of the course will be organised in 2023 and the announcement for registration will be posted on this website and our SNS.
