Study in Japan Online Fair for Sub-Saharan Africa 2022:
Graduate Programmes took place on 30 September and 1 October 2022

On 30 September and 1 October 2022, Study in Japan Online Fair for Sub-Saharan Africa 2022: Graduate Programmes took place.

The fair lasted for two days. The first day focused on the general information on studying in Japan as well as tips for applying for scholarships. The second day was mainly dedicated to the issue of career paths after graduation. 46 programmes from 26 universities participated in the fair too, and they provided university consultation sessions on both days, where participants could directly discuss with the universities and programmes that they were interested in.

Students from Africa currently studying in Japan as well as alumni who studied in Japan and currently working in Japan or in their home countries had insightful panel discussions, where they shared their experience in applications for scholarships, finding programmes and prospective supervisors, learning Japanese, living in Japan, and career paths. Panel discussions were followed by lively Q&A sessions, where the panelists gave practical advice on how students should be prepared for scholarship applications and interviews, how to contact prospective supervisors, and when and how to start a job hunting.
