Study in Japan Fair for Côte d'Ivoire took place at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University (15 February 2023)

On 15 February 2023,  a Study in Japan Fair for Côte d'Ivoire took place at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University. There were more than 400 people participated in the fair.

The fair was opened by a welcome remark by Professor Zié Ballo, President of Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, followed by an opening remark by H.E. Mr Katsuya Ikkatai, Ambassador of Japan to Côte d'Ivoire. During the first half of the fair, a series of important presentations were provided including the general information on studying in Japan, information on scholarships offered by different partners (e.g. JICA and Ashinaga Foundation), and information on post-doctoral fellowship. Two universities - Tohoku University and Hokkaido University - introduced their schools and programmes too. There was also a panel discussion where three former students who studied and took degrees in Japan shared their experience on finding schools and programmes, applying for scholarships, learning Japanese, finding jobs and developing careers, and living in Japan. The first half of the fair was concluded by a lively Q&A session.

In the latter half of the fair, the participants had an opportunity to go around the booths set up by different organisations and discuss directly with their representatives about their interests in studying in Japan and receive their advice.

If you missed this fair and still would like to participate in a fair, a Study in Japan Online Fair for Postgraduate Studies will take place on 26 February 2023. If you are interested in applying for postgraduate programmes, register here and join us on 26 February!
