Akita University Africa Office in Botswana. Study in Japan Global Network Project' for Sub-Saharan Africa, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan.
Commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, Akita University was implementing "Study in Japan Global Network Project" since 2024. The main objective is to promote opportunities to study in Japan for eligible people in Sub-Saharan Africa through
- Information sharing;
- Awareness raising activities (including fairs, seminars and webinars);
- Individual consultations; and
- Support to academic exchanges
in collaboration with national and local institutions in the region.
From April 2025, our Regional Office in Sub-Saharan Africa will be base in Botswana and Kenya, and two Study-in-Japan-for-Africa Coordinators were there to promote this initiative.
